Greetings from the (increasingly warmer) North! Very interesting question and one to which we really do not yet know the answer. We are currently doing research into the prevalence of neurogenic stuttering in a population of stroke patients. The final results are not yet in, that will take a few more months, but it looks like the incidence of stuttering will be somewhere between 1-5%. I don't know the incidence in other populations, but hopefully we will be able to collect that data over time.
