yes, some researchers have been involved in studies to analyze the effectiveness of particular treatments. I provide an overview in recent chapter I published in a book by Curlee and Conture. However, much more needs to be done. One of the problems of course is that it is hard to find relatively homogeneous patient populations. It may be easier to do in stroke and TBI where neurogenic stuttering is a bit more prevalent and we are in the process of starting such research.
