Hi Judith! I’m so glad you were able to overcome your avoidance and achieve such confidence, especially at a young age! There is an enormous emotional component which accompanies stuttering and I believe you deliver a truly positive message to help combat those negative self-images and help others to feel GOOD. Also, you mentioned that the therapy you received in school (such as stuttering controls such as “light contact”) didn’t seem to help in tough speaking situations. Do you believe clinicians should include therapy techniques or mock situations with their client that focus solely on the emotional/psychological aspect of stuttering? Thank you!
