Thank you so much for your great story--I usually read or hear about other people who stutter who are able to read aloud fluently with no trouble. I was glad to read your story because it is one of my main difficulties: reading aloud. It has been a fearful situation for me ever since I was in the 8th grade, when I was asked to read in front of my classmates. It is strange that I can so vividly recall the scene in my 8th grade English class, and hear the snickering from the back row. Chalk it up to the strength of "emotional memory," I guess. Anyway, I appreciate your candor and encouragement to other PWS, and your message to "avoid avoiding!" ---Jenny Egloff
