I would say get very comfortable with pseudo-stuttering, educate yourself on the tricks (my article basically goes through a lot of them) and understand the huge desire to be "normal." I would teach them just a couple tools, educate them on stuttering and their basic talking anatomy (a grown up version of the speech man) and do everything myself first to show them that I'm not afraid of stuttering.
