Rob, Thanks for your response, what you seem to be saying is rather than trying to contrive a situation in which to disclose wait until you are comfortable and then slip in the disclosure gently, am I right?. I guess it is like stuttering more openly for a covert, you have to get used to it afer a lifetime of avoiding and maybe only when a person is more at ease with themselves as a stuuterer that it becomes easier to tell others. I just wanted to relate a funny story about disclosure, one evening in a social situation I contrived to have a conversation about Golf and the Ryder cup, a subject I know less than nothing about, so I could mention Tiger Woods so I could say he stuttered so I could say I stuttered too.
