I am a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. I am taking a course on Fluency Disorders and am learning about stuttering. We recently had a class discussion about how the general public's responses to a person who stutters are either positive or negative. Looking back at your past experience to the present, would you say that in 2007, people are more educated about stuttering in general and have changed their attitude toward people who stutter than previous years? What are people's reactions when you stutter if you didn't disclose the fact that you are disfluent?
