Hi Hamida, Thank you for reading the paper and responding to it. I have always been a sociable person and have always been very verbal, despite periods of dysfluency.I never intended to go into teaching although as I am sure you know fluency and communication are seperate! I may not be fluent all the time but am able to communicate and simplify complex theories for students. As regards the concept of "feel the fear and do it anyway",(Jeffers, 1987)is closely related to the notion of confront your fears and move out of your comfort zone. Take risks with your speech, do not avoid difficult speaking situations. See the great article in this ISAD 10: Two Things I Wish I'd Known About Stuttering When I Was Younger by Alan Badmington (Wales, UK)...this will give some great ideas on therapy. Thanks, Rob
