I'm taking a fluency class this semester and one of the things we've talked about is communicating with our clients and learning about what goals, other than fluency, they might have. I read in a previous thread that you did have some formal therapy during university but that your therapist did not deal with "issues of confidence, underlying thought process, risk taking, etc." Did you and your speech therapist ever discuss your concern over any of these issues? Do you think you might have found the therapy more successful if some of these ideas had been turned into goals for you?
