This was a very interesting topic. I have learned that understanding the emotions and feelings of one who stutters is very important. I also feel that the problems/challenges and postive outcomes that were listed were very helpful but in a way contradicting to me. If you feel that one of the problems for you, as being an academic with a mild stutter, is that fluency can equate with knowledge, expertise, and superior communication, then how would also stating that students feel less threatened, less of an authoritarian figure be a positive outcome?
