Hi Courtney, Thank you for your questions and reading the paper. As regards telling people about my stuttering...I do it on a need to know basis. Only this morning I was working with an orthopaedic surgeon in a group situation. I told him that I am prone to periods of dysfluency...not that I am unsure about my subject (sometimes mistaken for lack of knowledge). He seemed to take it OK. Initially I was not that candid with students and colleagues, only disclose now if my speech may have a neagitive effect on my teaching. The response has been positive...I sometimes see it as the "speech house keeping bit", out of the way so we can get on! Min fuss and we are off into the session. Kind regards, Rob
