Dr. Neiders: I agree with all that you have said in your post. Even though we see the disorder of stuttering from different disciplines, I believe we are seeing it the same way. I like that slightly different slant you have on some of the principles of therapy I described in the article. I particularly like the way you put, "The goal of therapy is not perfect fluency but more fluent, forward moving speech" I think that is something that clinicians and clients lose sight of in the process of treatment.
