I enjoyed reading your principles and I am excited to apply your principles clinically. During my first year of graduate school, the most challenging client I had was a school-age boy who stuttered. In reading Principle 6, you recommend discontinuing therapy “when a child says he/she no longer wants to be in therapy as long as the child understands what lies ahead.” What do you say to the child to ensure they know what “lies ahead”? Thank you for your time and comments.
