There are no specific programs that I use. Given that one of my principles is that each person who stutters is an individual, one must create goals and objectives for each client. Activities that I use are voluntary stuttering to increase awareness of what is happening during a stuttering moment as well as to decrease negative emotions attached to stuttering, prolonged speech at the beginning of the phrase in order to help the client to learn how to start easily, a discussion of feelings and attitudes about stuttering that is tied to specific speaking situations, use of theme-based speech materials, and any speech motor control technique that would appropriate for the client such as easy onsets of phonation, pullouts, cancellations, light contacts, etc. So, the program of goals and activities that I use is multidimensional, which is based on the unique set of CALMS factors for each client.
