First of all I just want to say thank you for sharing your remarkable story, about your struggles and how you overcame them. I am a first year graduate student in Communicative Disorders and am currently taking a fluency class. Until I read your story I have not learned about neurogenic stuttering. Recently I had an assignment to "experience stuttering." I think it helped me to understand what people with fluency disorders experience. I like how you referred to your stuttering as a "gift" because I do believe it allows you to truly empathize with the people you are working with. It sounds as though you have made remarkable progress and are using your experience in a positive way, to help others with communicative disorders. Thank you for sharing your experience, it is very inspiring.
