Margaret, I did not exhibit concomitant behaviors. Concomitant behaviors are often thought of as ineffective attempts to get out of a moment of stuttering. I knew very well what fluency strategies would be worth trying, so it would have been unlikely for me to develop concomitant behaviors. I have found that acceptance and a positive attitude toward a number of conditions helps one's listeners toward acceptance. I also educated my listeners about stuttering, which probably helped their acceptance. BH
