Remember though, that I have been an "atypical" atypical stutterer. I teach stuttering and I supervise the treatment of stuttering, so my perspective is likely to be fairly unique. I continue to think that the only reliable way to tell neurogenic stuttering from developmental stuttering is to determine if the onset of stuttering correlates with a neurological event. BH
