Were your experiences similar to what the literature tells us (i.e. loss of control, embarrassment, shame, and guilt)? . . . . . Lindsay, I have been a very atypical "atypical pws". From time to time, I experienced momentary loss of control. However, my stuttering did not affect me emotionally no matter where I was because I knew what it was, I knew what to do to regain control, and I used it as an opportunity to teach my listeners about stuttering. I made up my mind to react in the way I would want my clients to react. BH
