"With this logic it is safe to say that war does not produce stutterers, it just emphasize stuttering from mild to severe, making us think that there are more stutterers than normal." This argument seems to dismiss the notion that the outside environment and cultural stresses can create stutters, and that these external factors can only intensify or exaggerate the ailment. If this is the case, then would you say that stuttering is primarily a physiological condition and that physiological factors contribute only to increasing a person's stutter, but can not create stutterers?
