I think it is interesting that you said that talking on the phone for 9 month was the BEST speech therapy you had. (And you got paid for speech therapy). Did your listeners know that you stuttered. Did you ever do any voluntary stuttering on the phone while on the job and your supervisor behind you? I would assume that the more you talked on the phone, the easier (and MORE CONFIDENT) it became. How about the issue of "roles"? Do you think that more and more CSD faculty today do not care about stuttering because they had not experienced stuttering? Or is it more an issue of lack of research funding/support/training?
