Hi Kathy. Wow, lots of questions here... I'll do my best. My speech therapy prior to college generally concerned fluency shaping therapy, and there was very little carry-over outside of the therapy room. My confidence came from the fact that my therapist obviously cared a great deal and said a lot to make me know that he *got it*, that he truly understood the stuttering experience, even though he was not a person who stuttered.
