First, I loved reading your article. I found it very insightful and I appreciated reading your first hand account. I'm a graduate student at NYU and your article made me think about different methods of approaching stuttering therapy. You wrote about how treatment in the therapy room is somewhat safe, protected against the negative attitudes and pressures of the real environment. Do think it would be useful to take stuttering therapy outside of the clinic room in order to address environmental pressures? What suggestions would you offer to therapists to help improve their course of treatment to their clients? Thank you in advance for your response.
