Hi Jada. Thank you very much for your kind words. That's a hard question: what would I say to someone who was considering giving up? I guess that life IS hard, and that I completely understand what s/he is feeling. The problem is that giving up doesn't make things better. It's not a solution. All that we can do, the only thing that makes sense, and leads to "happiness" is to move forward in life and to make connections with other people. That's one of the things that is so hard about stuttering -- a big part of the joy of life comes from connecting with people, and people who stutter often try to avoid people because they stutter, when what they need to do is really the opposite. At the same time that life is hard, it is also wonderful and mysterious. Remembering that, and focusing on the positive aspects, can make this life-thing pretty fun. Take care, Joe
