Laura, absolutely!!! I am beginning to believe that it does not matter so much what kinds of techniques the therapist employs, as long as stuttering is brought out in the open, and the client is actively working on something... stuttering on purpose, fluency enhancing techniques, whatever... if the clinician can create a therapy plan that works with the client's goals and meets them right where they are and if the clinician helps to motivate and guide the client to meet their active goals, I think success will follow, no matter what those actual goals are (with some exceptions, of course).
