Fifteen minutes ago I randomly Googled "stuttering" hoping to find words of encouragement. I immediately connected with your article, and specifically with the portion that you wrote in 1997. I stutter, I'm a senior in college with a few months left, and for most of this year I've been feeling lost because I'm afraid of how my stuttering will (or will not) affect me in the real world. I just wanted to thank you for writing the article. Reading it helped me to begin reconnecting with the personal values that I established for myself during a 3-week speech therapy course a few years ago. You've really inspired me. Thanks again.
