Hi Kristen, thank you. I am a professor, and am always still learning, too! The place that I generally start is with identification. I want the person who stutters to be able to identify what they are doing when they stutter and what they are doing when they are fluent. Both from a standpoint of the actual speech, any secondary behaviors, and the feelings and attitudes. That, to me, lays a strong foundation for good therapy. Take care, Joe.
