The human condition is endlessly complex. We never know where inspiration is waiting or what it is going to take to make the next step in life or reach the next goal. I have really come to see stuttering and the challenges stutterers have to overcome as being an analogy to the human struggle in general. The thing that stands out most to me in "Lost in the Stuttering Woods" is the secretary who told you "Don't ever tell yourself that you can't do something. If they think you can't do the job, you make them tell you to your face" and the effect this must have had on you. As you said yourself it may not have been a cure all for your stuttering but it certainly did seem to stick. This really shows that often times inspiration and the solutions to our problems are often much closer then we think. Thanks for sharing the article.
