Hi Jaime, thank you. Your comments are similar to the question before, so check out the previous posts. It definitely goes both ways, depending on the person. Some people and families are thrilled to have someone who stutters to work with. Other people and families are EXTREMELY hesitant to work with someone who stutters, and that's okay. I think it is more a misunderstanding of stuttering, personally, and so I don't feel that it is a reflection on me... The goal is not to be fluent (many "fluent" people aren't fluent)... the goal is to be a great communicator, to talk whenever you want to talk. I, myself, would not go to a therapist who was not a great communicator. I could care less whether or not the person stuttered, just that they understand stuttering and they understand people, and they understand change... that's all :-) Take care, Joe
