Sounds like you had a great clinician! I'm in my first year of graduate school for speech pathology, and I hope I become as skillful and empathetic as it sounds like your clinician was! I certainly understand what it's like to confide in professionals about a problem, and I'm glad that you had such a strong rapport with your clinician. It's difficult to tell someone your issues/problems if you feel like you cannot trust the person. I agree with you when you say "life is NOT worth walking alone." It's SO important to have a strong support system of family, friends, and professionals, such as speech pathologists, to pick you up when you need it--that's what they're there for, right? Thanks for a thought-provoking article!
