I am currently a graduate student in my school internship and I have read many posts illustrating 'to get yourself out there' and take chances. As a clinician, how do you get these kids to 'get out there' and take chances when being in the spotlight and 'looking silly' can be devastating in school? I wish I could fast forward the three kids that I work with to show them that they will be successful, happy and productive adults and that stuttering won't hold them back.
