The best advice for parents of preschool kids who stutter is on the NSA web site: http://www.nsastutter.org/subcat/index.php?subid=177 Parents especially need to know that: a) Stuttering is not their fault nor the kid's fault b) There are lots of things parents can do at home to create a healthY speaking environment. Parents also get a lot of BAD advice from pediatricians and school speach therapists -- including suggestions to defer treatment until the kid is older in case he outgrows it.
