Greetings Tom, Hmmmmmmmm, although speech rate is one symptom of cluttering this alone would not define the condition fully, as Kathy states there are many other symptoms that fall into this category, especially unstructured sentences, dyslexic type speech and filler words, but only a qualified speech and language specialist can diagnose this and I would recommend that if you are able to, you should approach one in your locality. Any disorder can be disconcerting but it worthwhile to understand that the condition you have has a name and is understood, I had many years when no one could help me fully, I felt alone, isolated, excluded, but through perseverance, and my involvement with the formation of a self help group nine years ago, I was able to go forward and through research learned more about my own condition. The inception of the ICA was a milestone in history and this will forge the way forward for people to learn about cluttering through any available means, it means that one day people with this condition will be able to have the treatment they so badly need, but for the time being, just knowing that people accept the problem you have is a start!
