Wow. What a remarkable story! I am a graduate student at NYU, and I am taking a fluency class. Having just recently been exposed to stuttering therapy, I have found it very evident that the best approach to therapy combines both psychological and speech techniques. With that said, I am very, very interested in the work you are doing for your dissertation! I would love to be able to learn more about your work when December comes. Also, I found it so amazing that you were able to persist and try as many as 17 different therapies. How were you able to maintain what you referred to as the “Thomas Edison-like attitude”? Did you have much support from family and friends; was it all from within, or a combination of many factors? Thanks, Amanda
