Thank you for an interesting paper, Mark. It reports impressive results -- "Phase III trial was 7.7, suggesting that at 9 months after treatment children who received the Lidcombe Program were 7.7 times more likely to be stuttering below 1.0 %SS during everyday conversations than children who did not receive the Lidcombe Program." Did the children who were not in the Lidcombe cohort receive any kind of treatment at all during the time the Lidcombe children were being treated? How does one decide which children will receive the Lidcombe treatment and which children won't in a Phase III trial? Although your results report much less stuttering in the Lidcombe cohort, were there any improvements at all in the non-Lidcombe children during that period? Did they then receive treatment? If so, how effective was it after waiting for 9 months?
