Hi, Professor Onslow, Thanks for your participation in the conference! I would like to ask a question about parental involvement. I know that with pre-school CWS, the parents play an integral part in treatment, ranging from informal modifications to family-child interactions and routines, modeling slow and easy speech, parent counseling programs, and the approach you discuss in your paper, the Lidcombe Program. How do you encourage parents who are either unable or unwilling to carry out their part in the program? Or, what can a clinician do in therapy sessions with a pre-schooler to help make up for this lack of parental participation, if anything?
