There are many possible ways to learn more about stuttering. One thing you might consider is joining the National Stuttering Association (or at the least, checking out their website). This may give you opportunities to meet and interact with individuals who stutter. You have probably already explored the Stuttering Foundation’s website. It includes many inexpensive training materials (DVDs or videos). You might consider attending your state association’s annual convention. This might afford you with additional information about stuttering and the possibility of meeting others with an interest in fluency. Also, check out the ASHA DIV 4, Fluency and Fluency Disorders. You receive a Perspectives three times a year, and there are multiple learning opportunities. Good luck in your studies!
