I am a graduate student and really enjoyed reading this article. It is amazing how after 50 years, you came to the realization that you have to accept who you are, and how you speak. It must have been really hard to commit to such a change. Was there a particular event that led to this realization? If your whole life up until that point, you avoided speech and the such, how were you so suddenly able to "openly stutter" and work on it? Also, you mentioned how throughout your life, you avoided speech situations, especially with regard to occupation, what made you change, in that you narrate yor own films? Thank you and looking forward to your response.
