Hi there; I got the idea from watching video tapes of the late and great speech pathologist, Charles Van Riper. Others have also written about these excercises in various books about therapy for stuttering. The tapes are available from the Stuttering Foundation of America. I haven't had any formal therapy since my self therapy. I don't feel a pressing need for it, but I would try a good therapy program, mostly out of curiousity. A good program, however, isn't available close to where I live. If I went I would choose the ISTAR program in Edmonton, Alberta. I have seen good things there.
