Thank-you for your insightful article. Although I don't consider myself a person who stutters, I have three immediate family members who stutter (over 3 generations). I have seen the same struggle you describe in different forms and varying degrees of severity. It seems that Dodge's theory gave you a neuropsychological framework to understand the less visible, but perhaps more painful aspects of stuttering. Would you say that this concept has been critical to your therapy process?
