Hi Emilee; I find that voluntary stuttering is an excellent way of taking control of my stuttering. You can't do a voluntary act and an involuntary act at the same time. A lot of people especially those who are younger and very self conscious of their stuttered speech find it very difficult to do. I wouldn't push voluntary stuttering on people but would ask them to try it and then analyze what happens to them and listener when they do.
