This article was great! I can especially relate to how stuttering is so situational and variable. Sometimes I can along and be so fluent, then out of nowhere, I struggled and stuttered on every other word. The look on people's faces held such power over me, until I finally realized that owning my stuttering and being totally upfront it left me in control, and allowed me to set the tone. When I disclose, people are not caught off guard, and they don't react with those strange looks. Now, I am in control and that feels so much better than being embarrassed a d trying to slink away when IT happened. It is stuttering, and to me, its no longer the hidden monster. Thanks for being so honest and genuine. Its very empowering for PWS to realize others have the same exact feelings.
