Hi John! I find it amazing that speaking with other stutterers made your speech more spontaneous and more representative of your personality. You had no fear of being rejected by listeners as you were not trying to pass as being fluent. In my stuttering therapy practice, I notice children's personalities radiate when they can share with each other their speech troubles and successes. They have the abiitity to help each other. Your article gave me encouragemet to continue my efforts in helping my students who stutter to network with others who stutter so they can share their common experiences.
