Going along with Daale's comments, there are places that can help offset the cost. For example, I know of a few cases where Vocational Rehab. has paid for a device like the SpeechEasy. Also, service groups like SERTOMA also fund needs like this. However, I must agree with Greg and Klaas and say that a fluency device may be part of the "cure". I think it can serve as an adjunct to therapies, and can work situationally. The device by itself is probably not the best idea....just an adjunct to a more complete program.
