I am a board recognized fluency specialist but find there is always something new to learn. I recently evaluated 2 boys, ages 8 and 9, who primarily stutter by prolonging vowels in the middle of words. There is no visible or audible tension. One of the boys is very self aware while the other is not. How would you approach therapy (in terms of actual techniques/skills to teach)when this is the most prevalent type of stuttering evident? Thanks for any input!
