Hi Megan. The short and long term goals will depend on what you consider will make you IMPROVE as a speech and language pathologist. Through years of practice in the schools, I honestly felt I was not fully trained to work with PWS (I only had one graduate course and one clinical practice that lasted three months....)Thanks to my colleagues I have realize that we can determine our clients'needs, put together our skills, look for guidance and improve on areas that we feel we can do better. Stutters are out there and we can not ignore it. So my advice to you is to look at your population and give an honest look at yourself and determine what do you need to improve. Is it therapy techniques? Is it assessment? Is it counseling skills? We are looking forward to meeting with other groups and exchange ideas. Good luck!
