I also find this interesting that musicians do not have nearly if at all the amount of stuttering difficulties while singing as they do in normal speech. I am curious to see what further research may reveal about the role of rhythm and intonation in stuttering. With that then, I wonder if people are using more rhythm and intonation in their speech when they are alone and that is why they stutter less/not at all when alone, or as others have commented if there is the psychological element to it as well. Thank you for such an interesting research article!
