Gina, Thanks for reading the articel. The "lessons learned" were not given to me from anyone per se. However, I was blessed with being surrounded by many amazing people not the least of which were my parents. My stuttering was not discussed all that much but it was also never viewed as a taboo subject. I was always taught that I could do and be anything I wanted. In a way, many of the lessons were implied and taught by example. My hope is that sharing my "Lessons Learned" will benefit a teen who may not have the experiences and mentors available to them that I was fortunate to have had.
