Many say that many who face risky situations that also involve others' perceptions of them come off as playing and liking the role of 'victim'. During the facing the demons of stuttering, allowing the dreams, believing that taking a risk will be profitable one way or another (whoever said that was never in a catch-22 position and found that a risk supported by others as a good one could be a HORRID mistake), learning that stuttering or our situations do not define us----there is much more going on because "life" must also go on. Many in the midst of severe stuttering feel our words are placating and placing too much hope and expectations on them which lead more to feeling they have 'failed' even though they tried to believe. I'm venting the feelings/words I've been told. Even so, would you be so kind as to reply with some words that might help me understand what you say and what 'they' (those I'm referencing) say? Thanks!
