Hi Again, Orlin, Thank you for the enlightening information. The following may also be of interest to you. According to various studies by Damasio, Bar-On, et al, and Bechara, emotional and social competencies are based on the processes in the brain which are related to emotion and decision-making. This involves (1) memory, the centers of which are located in the high-order association cortices, and in the prefrontal cortex, (2) emotion, the centers of which are located in subcortical limbic structures, and (3) feelings, the centers of which are located in the limbic system, insula, surrounding parietal cortices, and singulate cortex. The ventromedial (VM) prefrontal cortex integrates the function of the structures together.
