Hi Estefany, Thank you for your good question. In working with PWS, I’m not prioritizing goals that improve EI abilities. I utilize the EI construct to address the ABCs of stuttering, and to improve my clients’ communication and social skills. As far as your question is concerned, I believe in simultaneously working on affective, behavioral, and cognitive skills, so that the physical processes of change will be integrated in rewiring the client’s neural network. It is important to mention here that I tailor my goals and procedures to each individual client, and prefer creativity and flexibility over a commitment to a specific approach or sequence in procedures.
